ARGH!!!!!!!!!

I GOT A SPEEDING TICKET!!!!

But get this: I have never head of this happing to anyone. The cop clocked my speed as I was passing another car. The pass was legal but he wrote me a ticket for the speed I hit while I was passing the other car! 75 mpg in a 55.

I know the guy is a police officer but I am going to say it. He is a hippie police officer! That's right! A hippie police officer!

Doesn't everyone floor it when you are passing a car? Isn't that standard?

Yeah, but if the car was going the speed limit, you'd have no reason to pass him, right? Also, it's the end of the month and all that, if you believe any of that.

if the other car was going the speed limit, why did you need to pass them? that is how the law thinks!

gosh, how different we are in terms of expressing reaction regarding cops :)
a typical Russian would be sooo furious and the name-calling would be much worse than just "hippie"!

ooops.

Back in 2001 I got a ticket for doing 44mph in a 30mph zone - whilst driving a Bus! The "hippie" officer didn't even stop me - he sent me a ticket through the post after taking my picture. Nice man.

The other night, I had gone to pick Jeremy up from work. While I was waiting in the parking lot, I turned off my headlights and kept the parking lights on so he'd see my car. Well... I forgot to put the headlights back on when we left and I didn't realize it because my dash was all lit up the way it is when my headlights are on. A cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket. I'm sure he could tell that I wasn't driving with my headlights off on purpose..wasn't like they were broken or anything..he didn't have to give me a ticket. Guess how much that ticket is... $185!!! Can you believe that? I mean, if I were doing something on purpose like speeding or running stop signs..I could understand the cost of the ticket to be high..but something innocent like forgetting to turn on your headlights. I've had cheaper speeding tickets. I hate hippie cops like that!

Hi new friend! :-)

I'm going to request trial by declaration. There is where you tell the court that you are going to be out of town so you can't be at court but you still want to fight the ticket. That way you avoid the massive aggravation of going to court and waiting for hours. You just write out your defense in a letter.

I have no real defense. I am just going to say that I was making a legal safe pass and it seem excessive to fine me like I was just cruising along at 20 mph over the limit. I doubt it will do me any good.

Part of the problem is my car has a V12. That is the awesomeness but also the reason I got a ticket.

sounds like a good plan; i hope it helps you. speeding tickets suck a lot of ass.

i like these movies: monster, the pianist, i really hate my job, stand by me, batman and robin (60s), i dont know. i like a lot of different movies. what do you like.
