nesting	8:04p	1-year music is a wonderful thing. I realized today that I've been playing banjo for a whole year now, give or take a few days. I usually play for 20-60 minutes a day. it's one of the most blissfully rewarding and fun things i've invested my time in. part of my motivation was to see what would happen if I put my usual internet-time into something more productive. It's really interesting to see how songs evolve and change over time, how songs are just patterns, how you think of what you are going to play split seconds before you hit the notes, how different chords spur different emotions... Ideas people have told me about, but I never really understood it until I experienced it first hand. (Comment on this)
